UPDATED: Virtual meeting FAQ
Due to COVID-19, we will be hosting our virtual one-on-one experience! We are excited for you all to be participating in this new initiative.
Q: What is the point of the refundable deposit when I register for the Virtual Event?
A: The refundable deposit allows us to make sure that the people who have registered are ready to commit and participate seriously in the virtual event. This way, we know that everyone who has registered will attend and follow our guidelines.
Q: When will you refund our deposit for the Virtual Event?
A: The deposit will be refunded after you attend the event. If you DO NOT want to participate, please do not register so that we can let other individuals off our waitlist.
Q: How is the Virtual Event structured?
A: We will schedule one-on-one virtual meetings based on age group. You will get an email with instructions that will detail how to participate and connect to the scheduled virtual meeting.
In-Person Event FAQ
Q: What is the location of the event ?
A: Location will be close to the Medical center or in the Montrose area. If you are registered, you will get a notification through email and SMS 3 to 4 days prior to event.
We want to make sure we have a well-attended event.
Q: What is the dress code for the event?
A: Dress smartly/business casual! Dress to impress–– Wear something that is both nice and looks good.
Q: What would be the format of the event?
A: You will meet people in the age group as specified. Everyone will get a chance to meet each other for 4-5 minutes in a round-robin manner. You should come prepared to talk about yourself and to have an open discussion with the other participants.
Q: I have never attended this type of event–– What if I have questions during the event?
A: Don’t worry! We will try to answer all your questions and explain the process before the event starts.
Q: What kind of food will be served?
A: Soft drinks and light snacks (unless otherwise specified).
Q: Who is organizing this event and why?
A: We are a group of volunteers–– you can see our names on the flyer. We hold these events just to support our community and to provide a platform for Hindu singles to meet each other for a possible matrimonial relationship.
Q: I am divorced or separate–– Can I still attend the event?
A: Yes! If you are a single and Hindu, you can attend this event after registration.
Q: I registered, but I cannot attend the event for some personal reasons. Can I get a refund?
A: Yes, if you let us know at least 7 days in advance. This gives us time to let some other individuals off our waitlist. Please call the volunteers or send us an email to let us know of your cancellation (with name and event details).
