Perfect Formula for PI

The president of Mathematical Association (UK) Prof. Marcus du Sautoy, who, being highly impressed by Indian Mathematics, (and after much researches) concluded that it is Madhava not Leibniz who first calculated π (pi) through series method.
As a result, it has now been accepted by the world of Mathematics and renameed the mathod as “Madhava–Leibniz series”.

Madhava, born in Kerala (1340 –1425 AD), was a great Mathematician and Astronomer who also founded ‘school of astronomy and mathematics’. He is the first to use “infinite series”, also greatly contributed to the study of calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and algebra.10302635_1023188084387891_8145343057141099671_n
