Caste Argument to support conversion Real or Hollow?

Conversion is rampant in India now a days . Thousands of people are getting converted  and there are few typical arguments which are provided as “reason” for conversion . These reasons are given by almost every missionary if they are questioned on why they are doing these conversions.

Argument #1

Caste System:  Christian missionaries always says Hindus have Caste system therefore they  convert Dalit people so that they will not be in lower caste and would be treated equally. This  argument has basic flaw first  “Caste” system it self is not a Hindu tradition.   Very prominent thinkers and Rishis when they were trying to structure society. They started “Varna” System which is not “Caste” system. Here is very good explanation

Caste is a Portuguese word it  was imposed on Indian Hindus as way to divide the society by British colonizer. They were very successful instead of “Varna” everything became “Caste”

Another interesting twist  is that even after conversion and becoming Christian , converted Christian call themselves Dalit. Only reasonable argument is to get all the benefits.  In 60 years of caste based reservation regime where Congress government continued British tradition of dividing society  to capture votes based on Caste becoming Dalit is one way to keep all welfare benefits.  Now these recent converts are Christian and  Dalit at same time.  Now where is the benefit of conversion?  They are still Dalit and want to remain “Dalit” even after conversion !!!

bishopsAcross India there have been rallies and groups who are trying to push this agenda along with other “Muslim Dalit” groups.
